That's true. I don't agree with RP on every issue. For example, I think his stance on Net Neutrality could do a lot of harm before it does any good.
However, out of all the candidates, I agree with him much more than any of the others. As for Libertarian isolationism: I don't necessarily agree with it as a long term strategy, but I certainly don't think it would hurt us to retreat and regroup for a period of time. We're spread thin and it's costing us. So, no, isolationism and the national debt are not separate issues, especially when we're spending billions for Iraq alone. I'm aware that China can't call in their bonds without it affecting them, but is it not tremendously unwise to leave so much of our economy in the hands of what is essentially an enemy nation?
Now, did anyone watch the video I linked, or were those just wasted bits? The Comptroller General does a much better job of explaining our precarious economic position than I ever could.
