I worked in an office for 3 plus years now and much of the time I have worked near one of the worst pollution emitting laser printers in the world, THE HP color laserjet 5550 dn.
I just found this out yesterday when a group of Australian Scientists released the results of their study. I will post the study below, but suffice it to say that if you sit near one of these large laser printers you might as well be sitting next to a smoker all day.
Needless to say I was devasted yesterday when I found this out as I already battle a genetic lung disease. My health deteriorated when I worked near one of these and now I realize this may have been why.
If you work near one of these printers (you can find out which ones are the worst on one of these websites) I suggest you get away fast.
I really think this is a serious issue and the government really needs to look into regulating office/indoor air pollution.
