It was quite a while ago that Tiffani Smith first had thoughts of becoming the dominant pitcher she is today.

All the way back to middle school.

The timid seventh-grader would go to pitching clinics at South Western and look on in awe at Lexi Myers.

Myers was the Tiffani Smith before Smith herself was.

She went 21-4 over two seasons as a varsity pitcher for the Lady Mustangs and dominated the strike zone with 227 strikeouts and just 21 walks.

Pitching is definitely an area that from what I can tell needed to be addressed (particularly with Sarah Swor graduating)
