the battle for first place in the big south starts friday with a doubleheader starting at 2pm, and a single game saturday at 12 noon. radford 34-20 overall and 7-2 in the big south is coming off a 6-0 shutout of ETSU and has a great pitcher in ashley taylor, who has had good success against the flames. get out and support the ladies.

game 1 to the flames 1-0. terra lowe outduels ashley taylor with a 3 hitter. coutrney johnson hit a home run for the flames.

This is the sort of thing that having matchups against Tennessee was made for. Excellent job...If we can get the sweep that would be HUGE!

lost the second game 7-6. The umpires were horrible on both sides. A couple of defensive mistakes cost us the game.

No, Courtney Johnson didn't spend the hours before Liberty's softball doubleheader with Radford on Friday guzzling protein shakes. Though that might explain how a sub-.200 hitter with one career extra-base hit could club two home runs against two of the Big South's best pitchers.

"Actually, I drank a smoothie," she said after the teams split, with Liberty winning 1-0 in the opener and Radford holding off the Flames 7-6 in the second game. "I've had a stomachache ever since."

its always nice to kick the ^)(*^)(* out of radford.

LU is now in the drivers seat for the BSC regular season title. All we have left in the conference is Coastal and BSU.

Indeed...Taylor was conference pitcher of the week the past two weeks and Bre Felix the week before that and we got out and drill them both
