A Sea Of Red

Another shot at the Hokies. Earlier in the season they trounced us 9-0 hitting 3 dingers in the first inning! In addition we were no-hit. This is a golden opportunity to see how far we’ve come against top competition.

Thought some of you might enjoy this.

Lemley has our number. Too bad the local girl hasn't been wearing the Flames uniform the last 4 years.

If local girls would come to Liberty we would be Top 10 team

At least we competed more this time. Last time was a bloodbath. And I know 6-0 doesn’t sound good. But if you were there, you know we showed improvement.

Not all local ladies are Christians. They won’t all come to LU.

This is absolutely true, and I might also add that a lot of local ladies come from families that have been Hokie or Wahoo fans (in some cases alumni) for generations. The fact that they grew up a few miles closer to Liberty doesn't change that.

I understand and agree for the most part - not all players who come here are Christian, so that's not really 100% valid. I really thought we should have had a chance to get Eden Bigham from Rustburg who is a top pitcher for the Wahoos. Her mom is one of Liberty's all-time greats. May be a good reason she didn't want to come, but on the surface it seemed a perfect match.
