Our team ERA currently sits at #78 nationally. Our team batting average sits at #215 nationally.
Here are our team batting averages the past 4 seasons:
2021 .289
2022 .291
2023 .274
2024 .254

Our RPI is quite a bit higher than those rankings. We must be really highly nationally ranked on the intangibles.

Our strength of schedule is 41.

Of our 6 returning starters, only Roupe is hitting above last years average. Eg. Crain is 130 points below last years average, everybody else 20-40 points below their avg from last year,
RPI #37-#40 depending on site.

After doing some checking, I discovered that in fact we have had the same hitting coach, Sami Fagan, since the 2022 season. So, did she suddenly forget how to coach?

Sometimes coaches will try to implement a philosophy that they picked up somewhere to get every hitter to buy into. The coach could be trying to implement a new philosophy that it is not working.
