For those who didn't see the game, LU was down 4-1 going into the bottom of the 7th. LU loaded the bases with 2 singles and a walk. Then Clemson's All American pitcher WALKED in 2 runs to make it 4-3. And a 2-run walk off single won the game for us.
When our winning run scored, I've never heard a louder crowd at an LU sporting event.

A huge win against one of the top teams in the country! I enjoyed DR's press conference and, in particular, her emphasis on "playing with freedom". When you look at our schedule and the teams we have played so tough (UCLA, Oklahoma and others), it is so gratifying to be on the other end of the score against Clemson and to win the game in such a dramatic fashion. Really looking forward to watching the games this weekend in person.

The game was electric in person. Overdue for one of these wins against a ranked team; just didn't think it would be the way they did it especially against Cagle, getting 4 hits (3 hard hit and one infield single) and 2 walks, both plating runs, after striking out the first batter in the 7th. She was on cruise control the whole game until Machado hitting .115 got a single to get things started! Enthusiastic fans added to the atmosphere. We're in a much better place for an at at-large bid if we don't win conference championship.

Couldn't have said it better. Glad we made the drive from Roanoke for this one.
