Three game series with the Eagles coming up this weekend. Their record stands at 20-13 with no eye-catching wins.
Lead-off batter seems to be their best hitter and they have 4 pitchers that have pretty much shared the workload thus far. We need a Lynchburg sweep before a on-conference game against the Hokies later in the week.

FGCU has played their first 33 games in State of Florida.

Not surprised. Northern Teams wanna come to the warm Florida weather to play. I’m sure they had their pick of games etc. I mean why would they want to travel to the ice rain and snow of the North when they don’t have to?
Plus that’s gotta be super easy on the budget!

FGCU blanks the Flames 2X. Ouch. They are pretty good outside of Florida as well.

Most of those runs were off our 3 errors. Inexcusable.

Probably most embrassing DH loss in Liberty history. 14 innings without scoring a run is hard to believe. In game 1, we had a runner thrown out at home , killing a rally. Had 2 balls later in game that were hit hard, but caught, with runners on base. In game 2, we never came close to scoring. FGCU pitching was average, but we couldn't hit.

Ballcoach, you can like this was an upset. Florida Gulf Coast has 22 softball wins compared to LU's 17 wins.

While Liberty was playing ranked teams, FGCU was playing cupcakes. LU has RPI of 36. FGCU has RPI of 58.

OUCH! We better salvage the final game.

Keeney pitches a 1-hitter and salvages the 3rd game with a 3-0 win. We still only managed 3 hits, so either their pitching is really stout or our bats took the weekend off.
