The guys aren't the only ones swinging bats in the spring. You can follow the squad throughout the season and even get the latest on recruiting.

We are ranked 56th. There are 3 ASUN schools ranked ahead of us. Lipscomb is 43, and has played 2 ranked teams. We have played 12 ranked teams, including teams ranked 1, 2 and 3. We have 2 wins over ranked teams.
Can someone explain what goes into RPI rankings ? It certainly isn't strength of schedule.

Winning.
Strength of schedule is also a factor, and we certainly have that. If we had won just 4 or 5 of those games against ranked teams instead of 2, our RPI would be a lot better.

It's way too early in the season to put much stock in rpi. Your opponents record and your opponents opponents record account for 75% of the rpi rating so it's a pretty flawed system regardless.

According to Liberty Softball Facebook page, we have played the 2nd toughest schedule in the nation.

There are a lot of schools that have gotten "fat on cupcakes" so far this season.

Let's hope it pays off in the post-season this year.

ASUN could get more than 1 team in tournament this season. Several P5 conferences appear to not be as strong this season, as past seasons.
But committee often favors P5 teams over Mid-major teams, who have better resume.

Based on the record LU would be one of those cupcakes
