The guys aren't the only ones swinging bats in the spring. You can follow the squad throughout the season and even get the latest on recruiting.

You want to talk about winning a tournament with a home field advantage? Look no further than last year's NISC.

So if that’s the problem, Ballcoach, what’s the solution? Where could it be hosted that costs were low to fans, and no team held a distinct home field/crowd advantage?

The answer of course, is it should stay right where it is. It is fast becoming as much a tradition as the CWS in Omaha. With the HOF and USA softball HQ in OK City, it would be silly to move it because of some perceived advantage to a couple of teams.

We need to forget about WCWS and focus on Virginia coming to town tomorrow. With weather forecast stadium should be packed. Has potential to be best weather for LU home game in history of new stadium.

Going to be pushing 80°. A little too warm IMHO. I would prefer 74-76.

Tori Zavodny gets a pinch hit infield single, steals second, and is now playing center field. Who needs ACL surgery?

After 1 out, Dot puts Jasmin back in CF. Smart move.

Cicerchia playing very well filling in for Amber Bishop, at the plate and in the field.

Ballcoach doesn't like adverbs apparently. They didn't hit well, I think he meant. Although 9 hits for the game ain't terrible. I guess they didn't hit well situationally. Only one run was walked in, one came in on an error and another on a groundout.

LU wins game two 7-0. Cassidy with 5 hit shutout. Cieceriha had 2 hits in each game and a SAC bunt. She made several outstanding plays at 2B. We finish 6-1 vs ACC.

If Longwood could get in Big South on softball, maybe LU could get in ACC on softball. Just saying.

Cicerchia certainly made the most of her first real opportunity to do something other than pinch run. Might allow us to DP Amber and use her at second base. She also adds speed to the lineup.

Amader is starting to play the way we have always known she can. Hitting .320 and wreaking havoc on the bases. Great to see.

Robertson is also hitting ball well now. She had 2 doubles in game 2, both driving in runs. Now we need Taylor and McFarland to get hitting. Taylor had 2 line drives in game 2 that were smoked, but caught.
