Liberty is currently ranked 21st in the nation in fielding %. Good job by players and coaches on defense, we have come a long way from where we were a couple seasons ago.

Thanks ballcoach for the stat regarding our defense. It has been an achilles heel in the past few seasons, especially at 3B and the outfield. What is your take on our pitching depth? I'd be interested in your opinion since you have seen so many games in in person.

I believe pitching depth is good at this juncture of season. Dimartino has been dominant except for a couple bad innings. Liz Engler has been a surprise. She threw a 3 hitter Sunday against a good GW team, and with a little luck, could have had a no hitter. None of 3 hits were hit hard, if my memory is correct.
All 4 pitchers have "wins" early in season.

Our infield has been excellent, SS and 3B had a couple of "Sportscenter Play of the Day" plays Sunday., in addition to turning a couple DPs.
