Baylor comes to Lynchburg this weekend, starting with a 6:00 game Thursday vs LU. . The Bears will be leaving 72 degree weather and coming into probably 42 degree weather. I like our chances in this one,

Will be a tough matchup. Baylor is 11-3 with the losses coming to Michigan, Florida and Iowa.

Schedule has changed. All games are being played earlier in the day, each day. We now play Baylor at 3:00 Thursday.
Smart decision. It gets cold at LU softball stadium when sun goes down.

Doesn’t it get colder everywhere when the sun goes down?
Just good-natured ribbing, Old Man!

only weather location I pay any attention to is LU softball stadium, but you are correct Purple, it does get colder everywhere when sun goes behind the trees.

Texas is Texas only because of Chuck Norris.

His ranch is about a half hour from my house and near Solomon McGinty's family (and a good chunk of Coach Gill's kin).

Is Baylor's visit to Liberty the first for a Big 12 school , in any sport ?

Purple and JK follow this more closely than I do, but hasn't WVU been here before for something--maybe soccer, baseball, or hockey?

Now that you mentioned WVA, I believe their baseball team played here, but not 100% sure.

Yes. The Mighty Mountaineers have been to LU for baseball. I even attended the games. I think it was the same year LU hosted the Big South Tournament
The hockey club was also here just recently as well. I want to say a couple other teams have been down here but can’t remember off the top of my head.
Hopefully Marshall will have enough players allowed to leave the State so they can play at LU

We played West Virginia at home in April 2013. West Virginia won 2 out of 3 games.

Ballcoach just texted me score: Baylor leading 6-1, bottom of the 3rd (no word on the umpiring yet).

They probably not good. Make Liberty pitcher throw down middle.

Baylor wins 8-3. I thought we hit ball better and harder than Baylor, but we hit shots right at fielders, while Baylor blooped in several hits. We gave up 5 walks and 1 HBP. The free passes were probably difference in game.

It was cold, but I thought attendance was pitiful, considering opponent. Baylor had almost as many fans as LU, I think.
Averett University Softball team made trip from Danville to the game.

Funniest skit ever on SNL was Frankenstein, Tonto and Tarzan singing a Christmas Carol. Ya, it sounded like that!
