You of all people should know that there is no such thing as a weak softball team if their pitcher is having a good day, throwing her best stuff and hitting the corners. It's the great equalizer, and sometimes involves a bit of help from the umps. The best team does not always win.

That is true. A pitcher that throws slow, can shut down a good team if she throws strikes. Key is making sure your pitcher is "on" that day, then manufacture enough runs to win.
I think we won a game in Florida in which we had 2 hits.

As for the umpires, I saw a pitch at the knees get called "high" in Florida. When one of "those guys" are behind plate, anything can happen.

We are definitely capable of beating a ranked team. We had the Gators on the ropes last year and a rules violation (involving substitution) gave them extra outs and they went on to win.

This week's rankings are out. Big shakeup with many top teams losing over the weekend. As for LU opponents, UCLA is #3, Arizona State is #17. Looking ahead, Baylor is #8 and South Carolina #24. We need some Ws out of these games.

On a lighter side, Utah, Michigan and Minnesota are all 5-4 and still ranked. No none Power 5 school is ranked in Top 25. Pollsters are someone biased and/or crooked.
