LU travels to RU today/Wednesday. We need to win this series to put some separation between us and Radford in BSC standings. Then we need to sweep GW this weekend.

(and hope Longwood and CCU loses a lot of their remaining games)

A strong finish will likely get us the 2nd seed in the tourney, which IMHO would be a job well done. Longwood has been favored to win the BSC all along, and with good reason. Veteren squad with perhaps the 2 best pitchers in the league.

LU wins game 1, 4-3 in 10innings.

Game2 suspended for lighting in 4th. Radford leads 3-1.

Interesting stats:

In BSC play, LU is 7-0 in first game of every series. 4-2 in second game, and 2-4 in 3rd game. We need to reverse the 3rd game trend. Looks as if opponents are making better adjustments as series goes forward.

Sorry, that was a typo or the computer changed "better" to "betting".

LU loses game 2, 3-1. We allowed 3 unearned runs in first inning. Cassady looked good in relief. Had 8 Ks. game 3 to start shortly. Hopefully we can win that one.

In game 3, we had a 3-1 lead, but Radford has tied the game up. We must win this game, it will be devastating to lose 2 of 3 to Radford.

We lose game three. 6-5. Makes me feel as if we lost to a high school team

Radford has always been a hurdle for us even when they were the class of the Big South so I'd give them a bit more credit than that
