Hey do you ever watch a game and then see the box scores and think that’s not the game I just watched?
Do you ever think because of who we are we get some bad calls?

Do you think that blues that call our home games call against us?

The answer in my opinion is yes to all of the above.

Let me give you some things that winning programs do.

They have 15 -20 games that are penciled in wins.

A.When I worked with one of the greatest SEC basketball coaches he told me what games he was going to win. Then in conference play it was 50/50.
B.They built venues that where great places to win.
1.Example University of South Florida Softball field. 230 feet to center field to 190 in the corners. Sounds fair on the corners, not so fast 16 foot tall fences in the corners.
2.They host tournaments at home and get a little home cooking behind the plate.
3.At home they play the game within the game the gamesmanship. That’s the used car dealer part of the game. If they hit the ball it’s a hit even if it’s an error.
d.If the away team allows runners to 3rd and they score its called a wild pitch(earned run) if the home team is in the same situation it’s a passed ball(unearned run).
e.That’s how you have unbelievable ERA. Its mental you believe that his car is faster than yours so you don’t hit.

C.I started running Google search on the blues that call our games. We don’t win if these certain Blues are behind the plate. I have seen basketball Referees get blackballed from the list and never see them again on our courts.

College softball umpires are the most unusal of any college sport. Over the years I have seen calls beyond terrible. The worst I think was a Big East Tournament game in Salem between Virginia Tech and Notre Dame. The VT batter hits a home run over left field fence that was fair by at least 20 feet. The umpire called it foul.
also in softball the NCAA tries to be politically correct and assign female umpires. No offense to political correctness, but I have yet to see a female umpire who I thought was good enough to umpire college softball. there could be some out there in softball land, but I have yet to see them.
I watched a game down in Columbia, SC Friday between SC and Alabama. the lady behind the plate had no idea what the strike zone was. It took almost 3 hours to play a 7 inning game. It seemed like the count on every batter went to 3-2.

Everybody is busy helping them move to Ole Worthy! And that little NCAA basketball thing.
