Liberty has been voted to place seventh in the Big South Conference preseason softball poll, as released today. The preseason rankings were voted on by the league's head coaches.

The Lady Flames are coming off of a 2012 campaign which saw them place sixth in the conference with a 9-12 Big South record. Liberty placed two players, Meredith Crisante and Katie Zavodny, on the Big South All-Conference team last season.

we need to finish a lot better than that, but the next paragraph jumped out at me:

This season, 20th-year head coach Paul Wetmore will lead a roster comprised solely of freshmen, sophomores and juniors

"unlucky" recruiting???

It may be time for "a change, if one you know what I mean". 7th in Big South is not very good, I don't care if we start 9 freshman.

I also hope we are better than 7th. Maybe we can surprise. BSC isn't that strong of a conference. If we get some good pitching outlook could be better than 7th.
