A Sea Of Red

After closing out the regular season with a sweep @ Coastal Carolina to earn the #2 seed, the Lady Flames head right back down to Conway later this week for the conference tourney.

First up is a Thursday morning matchup with 7th seed Presbyterian. It should be noted that a week and a half ago we dropped 2 of 3 @ PC. When we win, we'll face the winner of the Winthrop/CCU game Thursday evening at 7pm. On the off chance we don't prevail, we'll play the G-W/CSU loser in an elimination game at 9am Friday.

Radford is once again the top seed after going 16-2 in league play. In case you are wondering, we dropped our two games at Radford and won the one we played in Lynchburg against the Highs.

Winthrop beats Liberty 4-3 in a 9 inning heart breaker tonight in Conway... LU is now in the losers bracket and will take on either the winner of tomorrow's 4:30 game, which is yet to be determined who is playing in, Friday night at 7 p.m... Possibilities are Chuck South, PC, Coastal and Gardner-Webb. Next loss ends LU's season... Follow the action on radio tomorrow night, pre-game starts at 6:45 p.m.

Winthrop beats Liberty 4-0 in the Saturday morning elimination contest. Lady Flames finish the year with a 37-16 record and a school record 13 Big South regular season victories. Congrats to J'nae Jefferson on a solid senior campaign and to the rest of the team and coaching staff.
