One of my all time favorite Doc moment involves Jess. Doc was sitting watching us play VT who had that Olympian pitcher and was mowing down everyone we had. He said she's just another level, I dont think we'll do much with her. As soon as he said that she was up and I told him I promise she's another level too....right about then she hits a ball 275 feet...he got a good laugh at that


Another Jess story, we were playing coed softball and I was playing 3rd and she was SS...the umpire stopped the game and said I'm going to allow her to play SS but if I think her safety is in question I'm moving her. A few innings later she makes a back hand and throws off back foot jumping like Jeter does and he said she's the best SS he's ever seen man or woman. It was a ton of fun playing with her, she's one of the best we've ever had come through LU

Its too bad about Dana not being able to pitch anymore...she actually offered a nice change of pace coming in as a lefty
