A Sea Of Red

We give up unearned run in b8 to lose 1-0, our 4th straight 1 run loss. We need to learn how to win 1 run games against good teams. We should have went 4-0 on this trip.

On bright side, Emily Kirby returned to last year's form, going 7 2/3 innings.

Frustrating but our squad is competing hard.

Fielding was a bit sketchy...games were all intense. Keep plugging.

It's been a season of streaks so far. I think we will start another one now. This one will be on the + side!

We have got to stop "giving away outs" when batting. Failure to execute the "short game", too many checked swings that make contact, getting behind in the count, taking too many good pitches, and do a better job on change ups.
When pitchers are ahead on the count 0-2 or 1-2, batting averages dip.
Our pitching staff has keep us in every game except maybe 2.

Another 1 run loss, 3-2 to UNC, another game we should have won.

Need these 1 run games to go our way when it counts, late season.

I know most will disagree, but we should be 23-3 or 22-4, and ranked in Top 15. We are losing games we should win. But thankfully, trophies are not awarded in February or March.
