The guys aren't the only ones swinging bats in the spring. You can follow the squad throughout the season and even get the latest on recruiting.

We will be in the Class of SEC, PAC 12, Big 10, Big 12 and ACC schools when it comes to stadiums. Big South stadiums will look like "cow pasture fields" compared to LU's.

I'd love to see the opening game be against Alabama.

I think from the look of the picture it might be better than a few ACC stadiums, just like the baseball stadium is. And the other Big South stadiums that's probably true too.

I viewed photos on some website of the best stadiums around the country. Only Baylor and some PAC 12 school came close to LU. But I have found that in most cases, viewing a photo on web doesn't give a true picture of a stadium.
I visited one ACC school's stadium a few weeks ago, and on web it looked like a state of the art facility. When I got there, it wasn't much better than a high school field.
As for what makes a stadium great , there are several facets that go into it:

Playing field
Dugouts
Locker rooms
Indoor hitting facilities
Team rooms
Seating/fan views
Concessions
Rest rooms
Parking
Area surrounding the stadium
Video Board

looking at the webcams it appears the turf has arrived.

big white rolls in the outfield and they're adding stone like no tomorrow out there

I believe it might be special infield soil per coach.

yeah according to the interview with Coach Dot in the link above they're using water-repelling infield dirt

stands to reason it would have to be brought in by truck

but the turf WAS delivered as well: 3 hrs after I posted the last pic the outfield is half done
