The guys aren't the only ones swinging bats in the spring. You can follow the squad throughout the season and even get the latest on recruiting.

Liberty’s Dawn Jeffs, Jessica Moore and Ashley Williams were named to the Big South All-Conference team, while Sarah Swor was named to the Big South All-Academic team as announced by the league this evening at the annual Softball Awards Banquet at Muse Hall on the campus of Radford.
Moore (Jr., SS, Chesapeake, Va.), who was named to the Big South first-team all-conference squad for the second-consecutive year, is the only player in the conference to be ranked in four different national statistical categories as she ranks second in runs scored (1.19), 17th in slugging percentage (.799), 21st in home runs (0.31) and 47th in batting average (.402). Yesterday, the junior hit two home runs in a doubleheader against Winthrop giving her 18 on the year which ties her own school record that she set last year.

Jeffs (Jr., 2B, Roseville, Calif.) joins Moore on the first-team all-conference squad as she led the Big South with 80 hits, while ranking second on the team with a .386 batting average, 36 RBI and 42 runs scored. The junior also leads the team with 18 doubles on the season, which is third best in school history, while ranking third this season with six home runs.

Williams (So., C, Lilburn, Ga.), who was named to the Big South second-team all-conference team for the second-straight season, ranks second in the Big South and 25th in the nation with 55 RBI. She ranks third on the team with a .328 batting average and 13 doubles, while her career high 12 home runs ranks second on the squad and tied for fourth best in school history.

Swor (Jr., RHP, Elkview, W.Va.) was named to the Big South all-academic team for the second-consecutive year, while the junior leads the team with 15 victories, 15 complete games, three shutouts, and is second with a 2.66 ERA and 123 strikeouts.

Garnering the major awards on the evening were Coastal Carolina’s Meagen Johnson, who was named Big South Player of the Year and Radford’s Ashley Taylor, who was named Big South Pitcher of the Year. Coastal Carolina’s Jess Dannelly was named Big South Coach of the Year, while Winthrop’s Tessa Thomas was named Big South Freshman of the Year.
