The gathering place for LU alumni to wax nostalgic about their glory days and tell current students how easy they have it. Old hags & bright-eyed and bushytailed recent grads both welcome.

From a story about a Greensboro Christian music venue ...
Yes! wrote:“Are you guys hot?” Ailyne’s singer, Lucas Johnson, is asking the crowd. “Me too.” A graduate of Liberty University, the institution founded by the Rev. Jerry Falwell in Lynchburg, Va., with a degree in religion emphasizing youth ministry, Johnson speaks in the informal, conversational style characteristic of the 21st century mega-church.

“Before we leave we want to tell you Jesus loves you just as much as we do,” he says. The music is infectious.

a) Greene St is great. Stage is small, but it's great.

b) I haven't been to CafeJam since they were on Spring Garden St.

c) I was at a show where Mercy Mercedes was promoting this show big time.

d) I'm so glad the Triad music scene is starting to revitalize. It went through a period of no one being good for about two years. We've got Farewell, Classic Case (I'm claiming them because they've got people from Kernersville although they claim Chapel Hill), Mercy Mercedes, akissforjersey, Caleb Caudle and the Bayonets, and I'm sure I'm forgetting a few.

I have nothing to add about these two bands because I've never heard them, but they're worth checking out.
