The gathering place for LU alumni to wax nostalgic about their glory days and tell current students how easy they have it. Old hags & bright-eyed and bushytailed recent grads both welcome.

Some of you may remember Ramey as that really sweet girl in the caf with the unbelievable singing voice. Like hundreds of others, I was one who counted myself among her friends by simple virtue of the fact that, if you ever met her, she was your friend. Unfortunately, Ramey succumbed to brain cancer on Wednesday, July 8th. She was 31. In true Ramey fashion, even her death has been a testimony to her faith.

I remember when Ramey was one of the hosts of Sunday Night Live at TRBC when she was a ??freshman?? in high school. I enjoyed reading the links that were listed. There are two songs on her myspace page that you can download.

Thanks for sharing. She was way after my time on campus but it looks like I missed somebody special.

Yeah, I had been following Ramey's ordeal on myspace. I knew Ramey, but only hung out with her a few times in big groups while we were both students at Liberty. She was amazingly gifted, and was very likeable. It was sad to see her go, but I guess she had been VERY sick (she hid it well).

She no doubt left a BIG imprint with her life!! I can only imagine what her family is going through right now!

I got to know Ramey well through her involvement at Grace Church in Lynchburg. We actually went on a church missions trip to Haiti and sang together in an impromptu trio during the trip. She had an incredible voice, but what really shone brightly was her gentle and kind spirit. She and John stopped by at Grace a couple of months ago- I think it was in May- and my wife and I briefly caught up with her, reminiscing about what we were all doing 12 years ago. Just a reminder to me that life is so brief.
