“Academic Coaches” Hired for LCS Play It Smart

Maggie Davis and Gavin Davis have a lot in common. Both were athletes themselves, both love to teach and, the obvious, they have the same last name. No, they are not related. But now they are both a part of the LCS family as our first Play It Smart Academic Coaches.

Maggie and Gavin will spend the next year coaching our high school athletes off the field, making sure the stats on their report card match their stats on the field.

Gavin Davis has a degree in Business Marketing from Liberty University. Before becoming an Academic Coach he was a substitute and homebound teacher for Lynchburg City Schools. He describes himself as a “strong motivator and encourager”.
