Conquest Assigned Four More Players

ALBANY, NY - The Albany Conquest announced today that former UAlbany starter Jacob Hobbs (OL/DL), along with returning players Clarence Curry (DB), Markus Ferguson (OL/DL) and Ed Greene (OL/DL) have been assigned to the Conquest by the af2 for the 2008 season.

Ferguson, 25, returns for his second season with the Conquest after playing in 15 of 16 games in 2007. The Lynchburg, VA native spent most of the 2007 Conquest season on the offensive line, but did manage to pick up two solo tackles on defense. Ferguson was a four-year member of the offensive line at Liberty University in Lynchburg, and was selected to the Big South Second-Team All-Conference during his junior year. Ferguson also received recognition the next year as a Big-South preseason All-Conference selection.

"Markus has a year under his belt and had a chance to really learn the indoor game," said Coach Hoffman. "He continues to demonstrate his focus and commitment by coming to camp in great shape. He will be a huge asset for the team."
