Katy ISD Names Four New Principals

The Katy Independent School District announced four new principals for district schools late last week.

Kristin Harper was named principal for Alexander Elementary, Malynn Rodriguez was chosen to head up Kilpatrick Elementary; Cazilda Steele will be the new principal at Mayde Creek Junior High and Marcus Forney was selected to lead West Memorial Junior High.

Forney comes to Katy ISD from the Desoto ISD, where he currently serves as principal at Amber Terrace Elementary. He began his education career in Dallas ISD as an elementary school teacher after earning a Bachelor of Science from Liberty University. Since then he has earned a Master of Education from East Texas State University in Commerce, Texas, and has held administrative positions in Fort Worth and Dallas ISDs.
