Shannon Bream, who grew up in Tallahassee, has found a job that combines her experience in law with her long-standing passion for news.
Bream has become FOX News' Supreme Court correspondent, covering cases ranging from testimony of Guantanamo Bay detainees to hearings on the death penalty. She is the daughter of Marie Norris and Leon County Commissioner Ed DePuy.
A self-described "news junkie," Bream graduated from North Florida Christian and Liberty University before earning a law degree from Florida State University.
She worked at a law firm in Tampa for several years before switching to a career in journalism at WFTS, the ABC affiliate there.
"I started out with all the most unglamorous aspects of the business — making copies, getting coffee and making beat checks," she said. "But I loved every minute of it."
The former Miss America and Miss USA contestant said the experience helped her to mature.
