When someone graduates (like I am on May 19th), does that automatically make them an old hag? If so, I'll be one at the age of 21

The transformation is complete when you first use the phrase "back when I was in school".

Me, an old hag? Yeah right! I would consider someone an old hag once he has been an alum for 5+ years. By then, he/she there would be a very small amount of students who were still there when he/she was.

5 years? Sweet! I get my official membership in May, then. Well, unless you count the year I probably should have graduated. By that standard, I've already been an old hag for almost a year.

Scorcho, being married, working and having a kid more than qualifies you as an old hag by now man. Luconn is considered one by that standard even though he graduated not that long ago. Manson is getting close, he just needs to have a kid. When you can walk through DeMoss or LaHaye and not know one person or have them reckognize you from class, then you are an old hag. We need to start a Jeff Foxworthy like thread. You might be an old hag if....

... you were there for a hurricane/floor replacement in the Vines
... when you played basketball, your shorts would NOT be in the LU dress code
... you wore a tie to class
... DeMoss was only one floor
... you know where Treasure Island was
... at LU baseball...when nature called, you ran to the rot
... there was no softball team
... Wards Rd consisted of ONLY WalMart (older hags...there was NO WalMart)
... P.A Guillermin
And the number 1 way to tell you are an old hag...
...you saw Ed Gomes play basketball

Sweet...I bet I'm one of the older ones on here...and I don't graduate from LU until 09 or 10...

You might be an Old Hag if you consider moving back to Lynchburg so your kids can take advantage of the LCA scholarship.

but I was thinking like SCORCHO: :oldhag

Guillerman, check
1 story DeMoss, check
ties and slacks, check

old-errr yet: :oldhag :oldhag

Wards Rd- field and forest
Williams: brandy new
Vines: not even finished- still pouring concrete
Liberty Gym: rockin' with the horrible rubber floor and foldaway bleachers
GE plant: still operational
Senior dorms: under construction
Guardshack: always manned- only way in /out

Take your good sweet time on that dissertation, Fumble, because you want to produce a quality product (and we want to keep you on the Quiz Bowl team for as many years as possible!). :bowdown Study

ya'll have been hangin' around GMTM too much

Posted: April 30th, 2007, 11:44 pm
by SuperJon
Is it y'all or ya'll or does it really matter? My red spell check line doesn't come up if I type y'all but it does with ya'll, so I'm guessing y'all is right.

With that being said, you GMTM'd while trying to point out someone else's GMTM.

by El Scorcho
Y'all. It's an abbreviation for "you all", so ya'll wouldn't make sense. As if there's sense to be made over such a thing.

See, I knew I was right.

ATrain, you lost your privileges to call a GMTM for a week since you GMTM'd while trying to call GMTM.
