MARS – Debi Utz became the bride of Tom Varner at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, September 9, 2006 in Mars.

The bride is the daughter of Howard and Gloria Utz of Mars.

The groom is the son of Roger and Christine Varner of Clarion.

Donn Ed and Tim Duggins officiated at the double ring ceremony.

Dena Fantini of Valencia was the matron of honor. Jen Roche of Cranberry, Julie Utz of Mars, cousin of the bride, Leah Felmlee of Corsica , Laura Ross of Punxsutawney , Jen Heffernan of Franklin , Kayla Baylor of Curllsville, niece of the groom and Chrissy Varner of Sligo, niece of the groom were bridal attendants. Alexandra Bailey served as junior bridesmaid, and Morgan Kahle, Sienna Wild-Utz and Maddison Boyd were the flower girls

Jon Weaver of Knox was the best man. Chris Palmer of Carnegie, Donovan Karki of New Castle, Brian Mobley of Dayton, Ohio, Nick Bonnett of Richmond, Va., Jim Kanownik of Crafton, and Jamie Palmer of Carnegie were the groomsmen. Mitchell Knepp was the ringbearer.

Jordan Beyer and Stephenie and Samantha Kahle were guest book and program attendants.

For the reception, a picnic was held at the home of the bride’s parents.

The bride is a graduate of Clarion University . She is a fourth grade teacher at Penn Christian Academy in Butler .

The groom is a graduate of Liberty University . He is an athletic fields representative for S&S Processing Inc. of West Pittsburgh .

Following a wedding trip to Hidden Valley Resort, the couple will reside in Butler .

I had a roommate my freshman year from Mars, PA (He always went out of his way to say P-A like it made it somehow cooler).
