Hi everyone, just letting you know that PAmedic is a little under the weather. He had a car accident and has been in bed for several days. He did some damage to his eye so he has to lie still with his eyes closed. He should be back to himself by Monday, hopefully. If you want to post anything to him, I can read it to him.

Thanks,
Mrs2B

Hi Mrs Medic 2B! Sorry to hear about our boy Medic. Tell him that I hope he has a speedy recovery. Driving in the Philly area is always a big risk  So the question I guess is was there an ambulance called to the scene and if so did they give him a hard time?

I knew there had to be something wrong. The guy's an absolute messageboard addict.

I was commenting in another forum about how odd it was for him to be missing.

We'll be praying for a speedy recovery.

The Medic says thanks to everyone. Right now he is supposed to be resting, but he is attempting to watch SpongeBob. He wrecked on Wednesday morning (chief's car vs. school bus). He is soooo bored. He has been in bed since Wednesday. He has to lay in a dark room with sunglasses on. He can not tolerate light due to an significant abrasion to his cornea. Luckily there were no kids on the bus. And it was the bus drivers fault. And to answer Scar's question, no one gave him a hard time because he had his own partner come to get him in the ambulance. Unfornately, he totaled the chief's car. He should be back to normal soon. (As normal as he gets anyway)

Well, at least you did not get pushed into a Tractor Trailor Truck Head on.

What I have learned anytime you have to recover from any type of accident big or small it will wear on you some. I will pray for you.

God Bless you brother,

Thelaxman

definitely Coach- not even REMOTELY close to what you went thru. I actually tried to steer thru it, which is why my eyes were open on impact (leading to the corneal abrasion from the airbag), but walked away (climbed out the window over the guardrail, actually)

I am very lucky, and thankful for a quick recovery. I'd say I'm at 95% right now, as evidenced by my post count escalating again! (the eye still a little weird from time to time- blurry)

thanks again for your thoughts and prayers

That's it? I was expected contorted metal after tangling with a bus. Clearly Ford may not be great at building cars these days ... but they know how to build a strong frame.

skill baby, skill.

I nearly avoided it.

I'm thinking if Roush needs another driver I could step right in.

seriously, I locked them up and was slowing quickly- just ran outta room- the impact could've been much worse.

Angels over my shoulder so to speak.

Glad to hear you're bouncing back; since I don't get on computer much I need to be amused
by doing catch-up reading. Gotta have that banter btwn. you "core group" posters.
BTW, I nearly got in a collision in Philly in 1990. Had just bought my 1st car, gotten license,
took off to live down there a few months (from RURAL CT). Do you happen to know of the Zwickel factory? I also did some work for a family in Haverford- very nice area; everyone in that neighborhood had people to clean their pools, wash windows, babysit while they exercised....
