The waterfront town of Occoquan is a charming backdrop for a sunny weekend of browsing through quaint shops or stopping for a bite of pie.
The inspiring scenery of Old Town is a big reason artist Kelly Campbell chose to open her art studio there.
Kelly, 25, describes herself as "Virginia grown." She grew up in Alexandria, moved to Manassas in 2001 and graduated from Liberty University in Lynchburg in 2006. She became interested in art at an early age.
"Art was the one thing that I was really good at," Campbell said, "and I grew up with a pencil in my hand."
