I only knew him a little bit...but he was a heck of a baseball player for Pastors. A friend sent me the link of what Joey is up to these days, as it appears he works for a sports agent:
As Director of Scouting, Joey Monahan is the coordinator of all prospective talent. Joey is the liaison between KASE and the various MLB clubs, coaches, scouts and athletes.http://www.kasemanagement.com/mgmt_team.php
Joey Monahan was an All-American and two-time All-Conference at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. He was drafted out of high school by the Minnesota Twins in the 1999 MLB draft and then drafted in 2002, 7th round, by the Chicago Cubs where he played for several years in the minor league system.
