The gathering place for LU alumni to wax nostalgic about their glory days and tell current students how easy they have it. Old hags & bright-eyed and bushytailed recent grads both welcome.

I joined a while back but don't think I ever gave a quick hello!

I was a "townie" and also a local...native in fact. Student from 86-89, graduated with BS in Youth Ministries. I was involved with ScareMare, YouthQuest (club, not team), and CBA. I am now a stay at home, homeschooling mom of 6; our family business is that of fundraising for Christian schools. I've been married for nearly 17 years and got deported (or RESCUED...all in perspective) to Florida right after our wedding. I love it here in the north central area.

Still get to the 'burg often as my family is still there.

Loved my Liberty years!

Welcome to the board!

My grandparents used to live in the Villages (yeah, I know) so I am familiar with that area. And we just signed a basketball player for your area as well.

BTW we were at LU at the same time. So take no offense when we all collectively refer to ourselves as the Old Hags. :oldhag

Wow, I remember living there from '99 to '01. Nothing like
the neighbors downstairs getting high every Sunday night, and having
to leave the apartment so I could BREATHE. Other than that, I enjoyed it. :)

Since I don't recall posting anything here yet..

Dave Walls
Transferred from U. of Delaware (95-97).
Dorm 4 - '98, '99. That's where I kept my stuff. I practically lived
and slept at C91 for two years. I enjoyed every minute of it. Simply ran out of money before
I could finish my degree in communications.

Been working in radio and entertainment ever since. Somehow, I've had some great jobs, including
a 5-time award winning traffic reporter in my home state of Delaware, and a
run in 2006 as the announcer of "The Price is Right Live!". Still looking to cross over from
radio reporting to TV reporting.

Interesting. Including myself – there are 3 people on this board who called “2408 Tate Springs Rd” home.

I apologize about the weed. I have glaucoma in a bad way – well not yet, just taking preventative measures. I kid. I kid. I was on the 3rd story from July 00- May 03.

You got it! I'm pretty sure I know who you are, if you were a friend of Benji's. He and I went to HS together before LU and we hung out a good bit our Fr. and Soph. years. He had a friend who had stashed a TV and VCR in the dorm- any recollection?

Much has changed in that time. Since funds are an issue, perhaps this forum should be subsidized by Runk & Pratt?

Strangely enough, it was never the plan to retire here. We owned a home outside of Fort Bragg, North Carolina and we had every intention to return there when we retired. But in the end Florida turned out to be a much better situation. We initially attended church in Bradenton but have recently moved our membership to North River Church in Parrish. Truly enjoy this gathering of saints.
