A 7 year old boy died this week from septic shock. He was in my daughter's Sunday school class and it is pretty hard on the church as a whole. Just pray for peace for the family and for the funeral this week.

I can't imagine a tougher situation.

Prayers for all family members, church family and friends.

With a nearly 7-year-old son of my own I can't even grasp the idea of how I would react.

Absolutely praying in Houston.

My kids prayed for a miracle and my older 2 know that God has a reason, but my Gracie is just mad. Any suggestions?

Anger is part of the grieving process...and it is quite understandable. My thought would be to pray with her and be patient as she moves through the process.

I tell my kids that sometime God needs to have pets and people (in this case, maybe use "kids") in heaven, too. And even though we miss them- they're like angels now.

How theologically sound that is, I don't know - but it seems to work .

Tough times- very sorry to hear about this.
