The surgery went fine. Then his lung collapsed. Now, he has a staph infection & his body is trying to fight that off. He is on a ventilator & sedated.
I'll say this....that is one tough man!

Considering the accident a year ago and now this, that family has gone through plenty.
Keep not only Dr. Hindson but the entire family in prayers.

His daughter, son-in-law, and their 2 kids were hit head-on by a drunk driver with an expired license. All of them were in the hospital for quite some time.

I'm here in Nashville and actually got an update from Barry Armstrong and he said that there were signs of improvement which is a great thing since not many thought something good was going to come from this

Update:
The doctors today have given a good reports on Dr. Hindson, his white blood count is down and there is no infection. His blood pressure is a little high but it is better than being too low. Pray that he will soon be able to come off the ventilator and that he will not need a tracheotomy. The doctor is very hopeful. Thank you all for keeping Dr. Hindson and family in your prayers.

This is from a group on facebook that gives almost daily updates with the last one being on Friday.
UPDATE (Fri. 3/28): Dr. Hindson had a good day yesterday, sat up and did some exercises. He did have a fever Thursday evening but as of today, does not. His white blood count is 14K, he has dialysis from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm. Vague CT report, some fluid is present but the doctors are not worried. Continue praying for the infection and occasional fevers to cease, and that the kidneys will begin to function.

Here is another update from the facebook group and a link to the group
UPDATE (Wed. 4/2): Good report - no fever, x-rays look good, off meds for pneumonia white blood count about 20K. Pray for all infection to go away. He's breathing more on his own, but anxious. Physical therapy a must to help him get stronger. Please continue to pray for complete healing for Dr. Hindson and for no more anxiety and for strength.
UPDATE (Fri. 4/4): Please keep praying for Dr. Hindson, he had an awful scare yesterday, his blood pressure went too low. There might be an infection in the incision in Dr. Hindson's chest.
This afternoon he is showing great progress: They are letting him breathe on his own for periods of time and his O2 levels are constant. And there is a little kidney function. Praise!
Please continue to pray for complete healing of Dr. Hindson and for peace & strength for him as well as the family.
