If any of you can find the time offer up a quick prayer for me, I would appreciate it.

I just had an interview Tuesday with a board of officers to see if I am officer material for the US Coast Guard Reserves. They will not make a decision until March, I believe. My wife is on board with this, except for the unlikely event of over-seas deployment.

I can think of no greater honor than to serve my country, even if I can't do it full-time. Just pray that the Lord's will be done in this situation, if you don't mind.

I'm saying a prayer right now.

You'd be surprised how many people don't know that the Coast Guard is part of the military.

Well, the results finally came out on Friday. Just my luck, ISC Portsmouth turned out to be the most competitive out of all the other locations. Over 20 people submitted...2 were chosen. Sadly, I was not one of them. However, I was strongly advised to resubmit my packet the next time it comes up (January 09).

So, thanks to all who prayed. Just every now & then, send up some during this coming year as I try to strengthen my packet.

God's timing is always perfect. We'll continue praying.
