truck accident

Been driving since '77 and had my first accident involving another vehicle this morning. Coming down the hill on Graves Mill at about 7:30 this morning and hit a patch of black ice. I tried to brake, slowed down a little, but ended going down the hill sideways. The Taurus behind me hit me and turned me around the other way. Once everybody was stopped, we got out to assess the damages. He had a cracked front bumper, but since he ran into my tire, I didn't see any damage at all to my Tundra.

The policeman took 2 hours to get there, but didn't even write up a report. Thank God for no injuries and no damage to my truck.
:pray

Man I know what you mean! I hope that never happens t..Hey wait a minute! Seriously though Jim I am glad you are ok. I saw around 15-20 accidents on my normally 10 minute drive to work today. There was black ice or Blice everywhere today. Every overpass and bridge was frozen and had cars crashed on them as I passed. Crazy half hour to 1 hour here in Richmond. But it was between 8:30 and 9:30 AM.

Praise God you and your vehicle are ok. Being in an accident, or even just sliding around on the road, can be a very scary experience. Glad you're alright though.

I think I need to: the body looks like it's in perfect shape, but I'm hearing a little rubbing noise when I drive at low speeds. I bet hitting the curb and then having another car hit my tire probably through my alignment off. I'm hoping that it is just that, and nothing more serious. I'll take it to the Toyota dealership first thing next week. Thanks for the suggestion, Baldspot.
