One of my good friends since I was a little kid, Pastor Tadd Grandstaff will be on NBC Nightly News tonight at 6:30 with Brian Williams... Last week NBC called Tadd and sent a crew to film the new church that he has recently started "Pine Ridge Church" in Burlington N.C... Then Tom Brokaw came in on Monday and did a one on one with Tadd about the new youth movement with Christian Pastors and politcs in the pulpit..... Here is the trailer for it
http://www.taddgrandstaff.com/ Some of you know Tadd from when he went to LCA and Liberty... God is allowing Tadd and his church to do some great things in just there first 3 months of existence... I went to a service back in late September and I forsee big things coming from Burlington N.C....

His style is definitely a bit out of the ordinary, but also becoming much more popular. Young people are no longer attending church and this layed back atmostpher w/ rock music and a strong reliance on modern technology and communication is something that is drawing crowds---much like Ed Young's Fellowship Church in Texas. Some of the draws these churches use strike me as irreverant, but as long as they don't comprise the Scriptures and continue preach the whole Bible I think it will be effective. I wouldn't attend a church like this though, I prefer something more traditional and along the lines of a smaller TRBC.

Both of those are important to take a look at (especially his blog entries regarding the matter) since the original interview that aired on NBC used an answer from one of his church members out of context. Gotta love modern editing and the news media.
