Membership at church surges with Jonathan Falwell

The transition was swift, but not easy, when Jonathan Falwell stepped full time into the Thomas Road Baptist Church pulpit in May.

New-member growth has surged since his famous father, Jerry Falwell, died. That increase has kept Thomas Road Baptist in the nation’s eye while people wondered what the death of its multifaceted leader might mean.

Two challenges awaited his son, Jonathan, as the new pastor.

Looks like J has matured extremely well since his college days! It's great to see, and he is really a solid preacher. I enjoy watching him when I get the chance.
