I just go a message that a good friend of mine you returned from Iraq about 6 months ago just got released from the psych ward after OD"ing and attempting to kill himself. He is a former student at Liberty and right now lives in Pennsylvania. I have talked to him off and on and he has not been the same since coming back from Iraq. He has turned to many drugs and even though he longs to have the relationship with God he once had he just doesn't seem to be able to take that step. He talked many times about moving back to Lynchburg to be around better people then he is back home, but for some reason he has yet to take that step.

I don't post prayer requests often on here, but this is something that has hit me hard. He and I became quick friends freshmen year and he is such a great guy its just hard to understand.

I know you guys are always quick to pray for people which is one of the reasons I love this board. Thank you in advance, it is appreciated

I'll absolutely pray for him. Anyone who has had a family member serve in a combat situation understands the impact it can have on them physically, emotionally, psychologically and spiritually.

I personally believe based on what you are describing that his soul is under attack and only God's intervention can heal the wounds. So that is specifically what I will be praying for in this thread.
