custody battle

I have an uncle who has had legal custody of his son (who is 5) for the last two years-he has pretty much had him since birth, but legally its only been two years. However, his xgirlfriend is now fighting him for custody. Long story, but the trial began on Friday and she was caught lying on the stand 4 times and admitted to using drugs. The judge ruled her to take a hair strand test for drug testing. The continuance is this coming Friday, but in the meantime the judge gave custody back to the mom (knowing she had lied and admitted to using drugs). The trial is taking place in CA (my uncle and his family live in GA) and the judge refused to even look at the evidence my uncle and his lawyer had gathered, saying all they were worried about was what was in the best welfare of the child. Please pray that the judge will see the TRUTH and that he would give custody back to my uncle and his wife. Please pray also for the son as this is incredibly hard on him and he just begs to go back with his dad.

Even when we think the worst and it will not go our way, a bible verse that was preached alot at the early days of LBC.
Prov 21.1 KJV (of course)

The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water, he turneth it withersoever he will.

If we claim this verse, He who can can change kings hearts, imagine what He can do with a judge's. Prayers sent. May God be glorified thru this.

Thanks so much for the prayers everyone. Tuesday right before Thanksgiving the judge awarded my uncle sole, primary custody, and moved jurisdiction of the case to GA. This means that if the mom ever wants to challenge the case she would have to come to GA instead of making my uncle go to CA. When my uncle picked up his son, Jackson, Jackson looked at him and said, "God did it Daddy!" What a faith builder for a five year old who had prayed every night that he would get to go home to GA! Praise the Lord and thanks again for the prayers!

Praise God...I have a friend who's been burned by CAL judges. God's hand had to be in it.
