spoke in Convo today, but I had a faculty meeting and missed hearing him except for the last 5 minutes. Did Dr. Dobson give any updates on his health condition? I know he suffers from Lou Gehrig's disease and was an administor, dean, and coach for LU in the 1980s.

He was PHENOMINAL last night in church. Didn't hear him today...

said he had been diagnosed 7 years ago and they told him he had 2-5 years to live. Then said that after these seven years they told him his disease is so slow moving that he has greater odds of being hit by a bus then the disease killing him. He said he now avoids buses :)

Thanks for the info, justagirl: I just watched his Sunday night sermon on my computer, and I'd recommend it to all who remember Ed Dobson from LU's early days: http://trbc.org/new/christianresources/ ... php?id=207

He seemed pretty remarkable Sunday night. He has written a book on his trials that was available after church. He signed my copy by using Hebrew script of the word "peace." I guess I looked kinda funny because I thought he was writing in English and just having a tough time. He quickly explained what he was doing.
