I know posting a thread about myself last time got me in trouble but I thought that this would be worth talking to you guys about:
Back in September, when Clayton King came to LU for Spiritual Emphasis Week, he asked everyone in attendance on that Tuesday night to consider taking a vow to not pursue a serious dating relationship for the school year (from that point until May). Well the next night I made that commitment to the Lord and to spend the year growing in my relationship with Him. Now the second part is going well, but the first part has been a struggle for me, especially of late. I met this young lady in the marching band, and we started talking and I found out she is on the same commitment. We both agreed that we should be friends, but as Ive talked to her I feel that there is a lot in common between us, and I feel myself slowly falling for her. Thing is also, she is an 18 year old freshman, and of course Im 25. I want us to remain friends, but with what is going on in my heart it is a real challenge and I need prayer that the Lord help me to stay strong in my commitment and to honor her as she is on the same path, and that I do not compromise our friendship as well.
Her name is Susan Fike if you need to know for your prayer list.
