you guys be sure to say a prayer for jdub's girlfriend. she is not doing well this evening, and her life is riding on the results of the next 24 hours. i know he'd appreciate the prayers of the people he spends hours a day conversing with. thanks.

They're in the 13th hour of a 24-hour waiting period. Right now, things are about as stable as they can get. It's still a really serious situation though.

as an update to what happened, the hospital somehow put an air bubble in her artery, and it damaged her lungs. it didn't go to her brain though, so that is good.
right now we are just waiting, but we got an optimistic report from the doctor this morning. keep praying though, like jon mentioned the next 11 hours are very important

the doctor has actually called other doctors at duke and stuff, and it happened at baptist but she is now in General. so she has had several different opinions. they seem to be sure that they know whats going on.

All I know is that we were praying for her like crazy last night, and I had this faith that God was at work.

BJ, it's not really the time for people to be going to visit her. They've had a ton of people there since last night and with as serious as it is, some other time, down the line, would be the time for visitors, not yet.

That's cool SJ...I wasn't planning on visiting right now...its still a very sensitive time...but when she is ready for visitors I just would like to know.

Just reading this thread....she will be in my prayers...along with you JDub and the rest of her family....

she was on full ventilation, but they have her where she is breathing on her own now and the ventilation only kicks in when she doesn't breathe, so her lungs are slowly recovering. That is really good news because they are worried about lung damage. they are also checking for heart damage. were optimistic right now, so keep her in your prayers that she'll keep getting better

just went back to see brittany. the first thing she asked... almost before i could even say hello... was if i was going to the football game on saturday. before i could hardly answer she wanted to know if i was going to be at the game on the 29th. haha. i guess jdub's got her trained well. she has a positive spirit.

We've trained her well. She's just gotta be able to be with us on the 29th.

Will be praying for a fast and total recovery.

just went back, she is on 50% oxygen, and her heart rate is down from the 120's to about 103-104. so that is good.
she is getting an ekg right now

by the way, she'll be with us on the 29th. she wants to be there this week, but thats obviously not happenin

A real tough chica she is...and obviously its amazing that she wants to be there for the game next weekend
