A Sea Of Red

Dear Friends,

Some of you were students at BBC during the 70's and early 80's and your lives impacted by Coach Gary Smith. The Smiths were my next door neighbors for 8 years and became fast friends. Today, I learned that Karen took an accidental fall down a flight of stairs. Her neck was broken which resulted in her death.

Although we know that Karen is enjoying the beauty of Heaven, this is a terrible shock to her family and all of those you knew and loved her. The funeral service is to be at 10 AM on Thursday in Wichita, KS. Both Jill and Joy and their families live overseas, so the details of getting them home so quickly is another difficult situation.

Please pray for Gary and his family at this difficult time.

Wow, that is terrible grm. Hard to imagine losing a spouse so suddenly. I will pray for their family for sure.

What a tragedy! Prayers are being offered for her family form Houston.

The guy is a tremendous Christian with the strongest and most sincere of faiths. I spoke with him yesterday, and
he is as strong and positive as anyone could be. I know there are difficult days ahead for him - Thanks for your prayers. He is now in his 43rd year of coaching....
