I got to campus about 9:15. The line to get into TRBC was endless. For those of you who are familiar with the surroundings, the line started at the front doors, goes down the side of the sanctuary past Pate Chapel, down the roadway behind the back of the church and continues to LUPD. Unfortunately for a lot of those people, they will not get in. My wife and I will end up in the Vines.

I was going to go, but being at a TV station that is doing special coverage, I had to be here. But by the sounds of the crowd, it's good I'm here and not there.

I was going to be in Williams Stadium but I overheard somebody say about an hour before the service that there was a very small number of seats still left in the sanctuary, so I raced over and I got one in the balcony just before the service started

yeah, I was thinking of going to Vines to get out of the sun anyway until I overheard that bit of information about the sanctuary. I ended up in a row of chairs set up right in front of the second deck of the balcony

MRS SCAR and I did the same thing BJ did and ended up in the aisle near the back. She actually had a cushioned seat but I had a folding chair. I am really glad I got to get in though and right at 1 PM. We were in the Vines at 11 and spent some time in the hoops office for a while. At 12:30 we got a few text messages saying there were still seats so we started walking up to the church. When we got to the other side of the football stadium a golf cart came and picked us up and dropped us right in front of the church! We were so fortunate.

Obviously Mrs. Scar pulls some serious weight on this campus!

Thank you for that. I just laughed out loud. I was just thinking to myself, BJ with all the police around now is not a good time to do some spy work with the scope!

BJ I love you buddy and one of my last memories of JF is when I went up to him in his car at the softball game and told him to watch you guys in the field with the swords. We didnt understand it but it was entertaining to say the least :D

Have to thank HMO for getting those golf carts running on a regular basis....I feel bad for Smoothie because he paid his dues to get in and we just show up right at 1 and get in. Kinda strange but it happens. 8)

I thought those were great parking spots too cause we were gonna be able to drive right off campus onto 460 while everyone was fighting traffic. We ended up getting Smoothie to drive us back to our ride...We did have a lucky day I guess. We didn't have a fraction of the headaches to deal with that we thought we were. Thanks Smoothie for the ride too. That walk to the other side of campus would have been tough. Although a golf cart would have eventually swooped in. Rather ride with my boy tho :)

Scar, we all know you're a VIP, but we won't hold that against you (as long as you keep those cookies coming at our tailgate parties). :D

i thought i had to be at work at 5, so i wanted to be able to jump right on 460. it was no where near as crowded as i expected. i figured the paved pit would have been full. it was empty. but yeah, great spots.

Please don't post it. I'd hate to have my lasting image of him tainted that way
