Jerry Falwell Taken to Hospital
We have some breaking news at this hour regarding Reverend Jerry Falwell. ABC 13 News has confirmed that he has been taken to the hospital by ambulance. Rescue crews were called to the mansion on Liberty University's campus at around 11:30 Tuesday morning. The battalion chief tells ABC 13 that the initial call was for a subject that had fainted. We've confirmed that he is at Lynchburg General. Hospital officials are preparing to release more information. Stay tuned to ABC-13 and wset.com for the very latest.

We all need to pray big time for his family and the larger TRBC and LU families.

I just heard the news. My prayers are going out for Dr. Falwell and all of the Liberty community. Hopefully he'll pull through.

LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Rev. Jerry Falwell was hospitalized in "gravely serious" condition after being found unconscious in his office Tuesday, a Liberty University executive said.

Ron Godwin, the executive vice president of Falwell's Liberty University, said Falwell was found unresponsive around 10:45 a.m. and taken to Lynchburg General Hospital. Godwin said he was not sure what caused the collapse, but "he has a history of heart challenges."

"I had breakfast with him, and he was fine at breakfast," Godwin said. "He went to his office, I went to mine and they found him unresponsive."

Godwin said Falwell was receiving emergency care. A hospital spokeswoman said she had "no information to release at this time" on Falwell

i just got the news mysef after coming out of a meeting. im praying big time.

I just heard the news driving back to my apartment on the radio....I pray this is not as serious as they think it is....

Just got word here in Houston as it is all over the national news.

We are praying for him and the entire TRBC/Liberty community right now.

The news sounds very serious, but as we saw in his last instance we are dealing with a man who is a fighter and has plenty to live for even at his age.
