Prayer for my family

My paternal grandfather, nearly 90, is in a local hospital ICU- nearing the end of his time here on earth due to heart failure. He is a wonderful man, loved by everyone that knows him and is at peace. I visited with him last night and was encouraged by his spirit- very tired but upbeat.
Please keep my grandmother, my father and his siblings in prayer as this is a difficult time for them, though the family has a long Mennonite heritage and all are strong in their faith.
Most of my family has gathered but have many important decisions to be made in the next several days, incl hospice care and med administrations.
thanks

You got it, short stuff.
I can only hope I live to be 90 years old. The man's seen a lot.

you got that right.
I reminded him of that Monday night.
Update: he is being transferred from ICU to a SNF/hospice this afternoon (Skilled Nursing Facility = nursing home) so I'll be heading out in a minute or so to visit w/ him.
thanks for all your thoughts and prayers

thanks again to all-
the transfer to the SNF went off without a hitch yesterday afternoon- my grandfather looked a little stronger but is confused at times and easily tires.
hoping he remains comfortable now as we are day to day.

won't be long now. probably within the next day or so.
my grandpa is sedated and resting comfortably. He had a rough weekend, was increasingly confused and agitated (normal for end-stage CHF)
please pray for my father and his mother (who is doing a pretty good job of coming to terms with the impending loss- 70+ yrs of marriage!)
my dad reports his parents had many good talks last week before he got too confused and my grandma is happy to have had the chance to say goodbye- but its tough on them, esp my dad.
thanks again

appreciate that - kinda weird to be sitting here waiting around for the inevitable, but you have to go on living too.

got word later this AM that my grandfather did pass on last night overnight.
He is now beyond pain, and I'm happy for him- he had a wonderful life.
Please continue to keep my dad in your thoughts and prayers- he's having a tough time but will be ok.
thanks again
