A Sea Of Red

Hey guys, I was in a meeting earlier tonight and when I got out I had 4 missed calls and 2 text messages so I knew something was up. My grandma got hit head on leaving the church tonight. I'm assuming she was heading to her house which is just across the street, but she was still hit head on. Right now I don't know much except that her chest was hurting and she was shaken up quite a bit. Mom didn't think it was life threatening which is good, but they're at the hospital right now. I'll let ya know things when I do.

I'll say a prayer for her right now.

Just got a call to say she should be fine. They don't think anything's broken but they're going to do a chest X-ray just in case. The woman in the other car is fine as well.

If not, make sure the insurance company buys her a car with both.

Yea, she was kinda scared because the air bag deployed. She was driving a Cadillac with On-Star so On-Star called 911 for her.

getting wacked in the face with those is NOT pleasant, but you're glad afterwards.

I am glad your grandmother is ok. I hope she was not wearing glasses as she drove, I can imagine someone could get a nasty cut when the airbag hits them. I saw a video while in Tampa a woman drive thru fender deep water, going to fast deployed her airbag, and cutting her face up because she was wearing glasses.

I can tell you from experience how much it hurts when your airbag kicks your radio's palm-mic back into your face.

She just has a chest contusion (sp?) and a likely totalled car. They said she'd be really sore for a while but nothing really serious. The woman in the other car was alright as well.

She's going to look really pretty for a while. Your grandmother might want to take photos of the bruising in case she needs them later for a bodily injury settlement.
