Ok everybody- time to rally the troops here. SLY has had our collective backs since the beginning and he needs us now. I'm asking that everyone please keep him and especially his family in your prayers throughout the next week or so. I know he will appreciate it. Thanks

Thanks for the prayers. My 18-month-old daughter has a potentially serious condition and has been hospitalized. As you can probably guess daddy's having a tough time with this scenario.
But we have peace that He is in control.

Sly, is she in Texas Childrens in Houston? That's a great hospital, trust me, I spent some time there as a kid.

Yeah, we checked my daughter into Texas Childrens Hospital in the Med Center around lunchtime today. I was with her most of the afternoon before I slid out to work tonight about a 20-minute drive away. My wife is staying with her at the hospital tonight while I go watch after my son.
Thank you again for all the prayers.

Keep us posted as much as you can on how your family is doing. My son had surgey last spring when he was four months old. Pretty tough situation. Thankfully you have family in the area that can hopefully help out.

I've good news to report in regard to my daughter. After much debate amongsta team of specialists, they decide to go ahead and give my little girl the antidote for the disease they believed she had. Within the first two hours last night of the 12-hour treatment she began showing immediate positive results. This morning they gave her an ectocardiogram (sp?) and he heart showed no signs of damage (which was our greatest concern). If all goes well she could be released from the hospital in the morning.
Thank you all again for your prayer support. Unlike many who might make that statement in society today, I think most of us on this board no how important the prayers really are.

most likely an echocardiogram which is an ultrasound exam of the heart's chambers- as opposed to an electrocardiogram (EKG or ECG), which is what I do at work.
thats great news- glad to hear she's doing better!

We were finally able to bring her home from the hospital this morning. She'll be getting treatments for a couple of weeks and have another echocardiogram in early April. But the Lord has truly been good in providing for her care.
At this point, we now are resuming our plans to hit the road in a few weeks toward Lynchburg with her in tow.
